RESILIENT PRESENTS MURAL IN HISTORIC FILIPINO TOWN

Resilient is proud to announce our latest community partners—a vibrant mural created in collaboration with local artist Juan Pablo Reyes “JPmurals” and business A-1 Market. This project celebrates and uplifts the diverse cultures within our community, showcasing the talent and creativity of our residents.

CFCI/AMITY YEAR 2 COMMUNITY CARE GRANT

In partnership with The Amity Foundation, Resilient was awarded a three year grant opportunity as part of the Care First Community Investment initiative! This grant has allowed the expansion of services beginning with our staff. Our Echo Park staff has grown by 3 CIWs and grant Director. We look forward to all of the amazing programming our team will deliver over the next three years.

MAKING WAVES IN POLICY

Resilient Team members met with Los Angeles Deputy Mayor of Community Safety Karren Lane to discuss the investment and future of Community Violence Intervention. This meeting was planned through Urban Peace Institutes - Los Angeles Violence Intervention Coalition a city-wide Coalition comprised of Community Violence Intervention Agencies.

“RISE TO RESILIENCE” MURAL AND ART THERAPY PROGRAM

December 17th, 2022

In partnership with Avalon Carver, YouthBuild, and Local South LA, Artist Eric “CRE 8” Walker commemorated the completion of the “Rise to Resilience” project. “Rise to Resilience” was inspired and sponsored by Blue Shield Promise to create space for more than 20 local youth to help create and install the mural on the community center. It was the final project of “Rise to Resilience,” our 12-week art therapy program.
